Humanities in Medical Education

Being human can't be described, lived, taught or learned about in a purely objective, scientific way.

From the perspective of facilitating the learning of others, using what could be broadly called "the arts" can add a rich and constructive dimension. For instance:

• Light relief in a otherwise technical session

• A perspective on a subject that goes beyond the personal life experience of the learners

• A route to expressing deep and personal learning

• A technique for developing group relationships

and on, and on,

The resources here have been gathered over many years, and have involved many different people. As far as possible, we have given credit to those people.
